Hervé lives and works in France:   the majority of his paintings, drawings and pastels, are of the countryside and villages around his home town of Bressuire. The works demonstrate his strong sense of colour, which reflects the vibrancy of his native landscape.   He mainly works in oil paint or pastels, these being the media he finds best suited to portray the atmosphere of his subjects.
